Background

Coach Matt is a Long Island–raised coach who works with players of all ages and skill levels. He brings a competitive playing background as a guard from Baldwin, NY — competing at Kellenberg Memorial, Nassau Community College, and later York College (CUNY).

Matt’s coaching approach is rooted in what made him successful as a smaller guard: confidence, pace, decision-making, and the ability to create advantages through skill and IQ — not size.

Driven, positive, and highly engaged, Matt emphasizes growth over perfection. His guiding motto: “Don’t be afraid of failure. This is the way to succeed.”
