Background

Nikko Callendar brings a wealth of basketball experience and leadership to Hoop Lab. A standout player at Baldwin High School, where he earned All-County honors, Nikko continued his success at Concordia College, achieving a rare feat by reaching 75+ in every major statistical category. His playing career also included two seasons in the Dominican Republic.

Nikko's coaching journey began at Mineola High School, where he was named JV Conference Coach of the Year. He then joined the Baldwin High School coaching staff, again earning JV Conference Coach of the Year twice and achieving an impressive 48-9 record. Nikko also served as Associate Head Coach at NYIT and Queens College, Head Coach of LuHi's Regional Team and serves as a Director with Level Up. Most recently, he served as Athletic Director for Camp IHC in Pennsylvania.
